User Agreement
Last updated: 4 August 2026 · opalynx.cc
1. Acceptance of This Agreement
Welcome to Muse Weaver (the "Service"), operated by opalynx.cc ("We," "Us," or "Our"). This User Agreement ("Agreement") sets out the terms and conditions under which you may access and use the Service.
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by this Agreement and our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any part of this Agreement, you may not access or use the Service.
This Agreement applies to all visitors, users, and others who access the Service ("Users" or "You").
2. Purpose of the Agreement
This Agreement sets out how members of the Muse Weaver community are expected to behave when submitting work, commenting on the work of others, participating in prompts, challenges, reading circles, or otherwise engaging with the Service.
Our goal is to maintain a safe, respectful, and productive environment for writers, readers, and enthusiasts of poetry from all backgrounds. This Agreement describes the standards we expect and the actions we may take when those standards are not met.
3. Community Content Guidelines
a. Respect for Other Writers: Criticism should address the poem, never the person. Specific, generous, and honest feedback is the standard here; dismissiveness, mockery, and personal remarks are not.
b. Originality and Attribution: Submit only work you wrote. If a poem began from a generated draft, that is entirely acceptable — say so when the machine contributed material lines. If you quote another poet, name them and provide a link where possible.
c. No Plagiarism: Do not represent the work of others as your own. This includes copying poems from other sources, modifying them slightly, and presenting them as original.
d. Constructive Discussion: Disagreements about craft, form, or interpretation are welcome and encouraged. Ad hominem attacks are not.
e. No Spam or Self-Promotion: Do not use the Service to post links to unrelated sites, promote your own products or services, or attempt to manipulate search rankings through keyword stuffing or artificial engagement.
4. Prohibited Content
You agree not to post, transmit, or otherwise make available through the Service any content that:
a. Is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, vulgar, or otherwise objectionable.
b. Infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, or other proprietary right of any party.
c. Contains viruses, malware, corrupted files, or any other similar software or programs that may damage the operation of another's computer.
d. Constitutes advertising or promotion without our prior written consent, including but not limited to junk mail, spam, chain letters, or pyramid schemes.
e. Impersonates any person or entity, or misrepresents your identity or affiliation with any person or entity.
f. Contains sexually explicit content involving minors, or promotes or encourages such content.
g. Promotes or encourages self-harm, suicide, or violence.
h. Contains hate speech, including attacks on individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin.
i. Is designed to manipulate search engine rankings (SEO spam), including keyword stuffing, cloaking, or doorway pages.
j. Consists of auto-generated or AI-generated content with no original value or editorial contribution beyond machine output.
5. AI-Generated Content Policy
a. Transparency: If a poem or piece of content was generated with the assistance of AI tools, you must disclose this clearly. State that AI contributed to the work.
b. Adding Value: AI-generated content must include original editorial contribution — analysis, commentary, revision, or personal insight. Pure machine-generated output with no human value-addition is not permitted.
c. No Deception: Do not present AI-generated content as fully human-written. Misrepresenting AI-assisted work as original human creation is a violation of this Agreement and may result in content removal.
d. Quality Over Quantity: We value quality, original content. Posting large volumes of low-value, AI-generated content may be considered spam and is prohibited.
e. Copyright Considerations: AI-generated content may raise complex copyright questions. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of AI tools does not infringe third-party rights.
6. Intellectual Property and Copyright
a. Your Rights: You keep full copyright in anything you post on the Service. By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display it on the Service, and to quote a short extract when featuring it.
b. Our Content: Editorial material — analyses, guides, blog essays, tool interfaces, and design — is protected by copyright and may not be republished in bulk without permission.
c. Public Domain: Classic poems reproduced in the Poetry Library are in the public domain and may be freely used, quoted, and adapted.
d. No Copyright Infringement: Do not post copyrighted poems in full without permission. If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, see Section 7 (DMCA).
e. Trademarks: Our trademarks, trade dress, logos, and service marks may not be used in connection with any product or service without our prior written consent.
7. DMCA / Copyright Infringement
If you believe that content on the Service infringes your intellectual property rights, you may submit a Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) notification to:
[email protected]
Your notification must include:
a. A physical or electronic signature.
b. Identification of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed.
c. Identification of the material that is allegedly infringing and its location on the Service.
d. Contact information (email address, phone number, and physical address).
e. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
f. A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
We will respond to properly submitted DMCA notifications in accordance with applicable law. Repeat copyright offenders may have their access to the Service terminated.
8. Prohibited Activities
You agree not to use the Service for any of the following purposes:
a. Click Fraud: Do not artificially inflate clicks, impressions, or engagement on the Service or any third-party service.
b. Scraping: Do not scrape, crawl, or copy the Service's content at a volume that degrades service for others, or without prior written consent.
c. Security Circumvention: Do not attempt to circumvent any security measures, access restrictions, or rate limits implemented by the Service.
d. Malicious Code: Do not upload, transmit, or distribute any viruses, worms, Trojan horses, or other malicious code.
e. Network Disruption: Do not interfere with or disrupt the Service, servers, or networks connected to the Service, including by means of denial-of-service attacks.
f. Unauthorized Access: Do not attempt to access accounts, systems, or data that you are not authorized to access.
g. Manipulation: Do not attempt to manipulate the Service or its data in any way that could cause harm to us, our users, or the integrity of the Service.

14. Third-Party Content
a. The Service may contain links to third-party web sites or services that are not owned or controlled by us. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party web sites or services.
b. We do not endorse any third-party content and will not be responsible or liable for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with use of or reliance on any such content, goods, or services available on or through any such web sites or services.
c. You acknowledge and agree that the Service may contain content from other users ("User Content") and that we are not responsible for reviewing or moderating User Content before it is published, though we may do so after publication.
